THERE IS A LITTLE PAINT CRACK AT HE DOWNSIDE OF THE NECK NEAR HEADSTOCK,NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

BLUEBELL BY TAMA W500''Doc Watson' model
Made in Japan 1976
This is a tremendously good made In japan acoustic.
It takes an insider though to recognize this is a copy of the Gallagher 'Doc Watson' G50 guitar, which is again recognizable by the headstock. And the pickguard which only the Gallagher guitar has.
It sounds full and loud, plays like a dream, condition for the age is very good.
These guitars were Made under supervision of Tama, which is also famous for making worlds best drum sets.
This Bluebell is a good example of their craftsmanship.
BlueBell W500 Gallagher Doc Watson Copy made in Japan in the 70's - one for the Bluegrass fans.
Bluebell guitars were made in a number of factories including their own BlueBell factory and Suzuki Violin Co Ltd. This model was made in the Tama factory which was highly rated for producing quality guitars.
This BlueBell is a really well preserved guitar for its age (made around 1976), with a lot of special features that set it off very nicely. As with the Doc Watson model It is a dreadnought body shape with herringbone purfling around the soundhole and body binding, and has that distinct pickguard in tortoise shell. It features a solid spruce top and Indian Rosewood back/sides with cream binding, and a central intricate mosaic-design purfling between the two pieces that make the back. The neck has a strong V profile, and is a 3-piece, with a volute neck joint. The fingerboard is in ebony with pearloid snowflake position markers, and is again set with cream binding that has aged a lovely vintage amber. The headstock features that distinct Gallagher wave design. This Gallagher copy has developed into a guitar with fine round tone.

This al do not hinder playing and sound !
